Mental wellness is underserved in South Asia.

The wellbeing app market is dominated by Western products that don't resonate with South Asian users culturally or linguistically. Sukoon is designed to fill that gap — grounding mental wellness in familiar practices, language, and lived experiences.

Building with empathy at the centre.

  • Defined three primary user personas: the stressed urban professional, the anxious student, and the recovering individual seeking daily calm routines
  • Conducted discovery to map unmet needs, cultural sensitivities, and competitor gaps in the mindfulness space
  • Prioritised core features using a RICE scoring framework: guided breathing, sleep stories, mood journaling, and community circles
  • Designed a product roadmap across three phases: core habit formation, community features, and personalisation with AI
  • Defined north star metric as "weekly active calming sessions" rather than DAU — measuring value, not vanity
